COLUMBIA JONES
As a jack-of-all-trades, Columbia Jones has done a lot in 15 years of performing. He was a 2-year finalist in the Telluride Blues and Brews competition. He adopted the folk singer mentality and ethos touring solo across the country and he is a a deep lover of country music's story-telling. However, Columbia Jones is neither a blues, folk, or country artist. He is purely American. His stories are reflections of our own lives.
Growing up, Columbia felt out of place with the world around him. When he started searching for new music in places other than mainstream radio, that was where he felt at home. He heard stories that he could relate to. Struggles that he had had. He found people he could look up to. Suddenly, he found someone like him in the world.
Today, he wants to bring that back. Art is what makes us human. No AI can replicate that. No fancy record label can pay an artist to create that. It has to come from the heart, from lived experiences good and terrible. Columbia has lived those experiences of triumph and heartbreak- all are on display in his music. All of it is real. All of it comes with an invitation to listen, to connect, and to feel like you are not alone.
JACOB ROUNDTREE
Jacob Roundtree is an alternative/indie folk songwriter with a contemplative yet playful, lyric-forward style, reflective of his love for philosophy, poetry and quantum physics. “His performance can be described as warm and comforting, almost like a welcoming hug from a family member.” - Gifted Balance Records. Jacob's contagious soul presents itself through raw vocals of impressive range with a whiskey-like timbre and complex yet mesmerizing finger-style guitar. Rountree’s unique production style is that of Bob Dylan meets Pink Floyd, ranking the integrity of his music with contemporary indie artists such as Bon Iver, Ben Howard, and Shakey Graves.
Through the work of releasing three albums and years of touring, Rountree has began headlining festivals and has shared the stage with artists such as Future Islands, Rayland Baxter, Paul Cauthen, Mikaela Davis, Monophonics, John Cragie, Fortunate Youth, Mike Love, Satsang and more. Over the years, Rountree has repeatedly acquired a variety of regional awards such as #1 Solo Artist, #1 Folk Band, #1 Best Album #1 Best Musical Performance of, #1 Best Rock Band and has even had the opportunity to perform privately for companies like Facebook, Dropbox and Global Political Summit events.
HURDY GURDY GIRLS
Petticoats, pistols, music, miners, and dancing....the Hurdy Gurdy Girls of the early 1900’s saw it all! These ladies lived a rugged life in the untamed, gem laden mountains of Idaho, entertaining miners by playing music and dancing with the men after the show. Idaho was built on the richness of a mining history. ....but wait!......There’s still gold in them there hills and the Hurdy Gurdy Girls are still around.
Hurdy Gurdy Girls is an all girl string band from Hailey, Idaho performing original songs steeped in an old-time music feel and sprinkled with traditional fiddle tunes. The music is influenced by classic country and people who are keeping traditional American folk music alive. Get ready for a porch swingin’ feeling mixed with a honky-tonk vibe. Their songs are about burning desires, life’s tough decisions, family, and of course, finding your way to the mountains we call home. Hurdy Gurdy Girls formed over ten years ago with Annie Maude on fiddle, Natalie Rose driving the train with her stand up bass, Sweet Joy Lee from Tennessee on guitar. Come out to experience the music of the Hurdy Gurdy Girls….you might even get a dance afterwards!
