Marketing & Social Media Manager

About the Role
The Liberty Theater is a fully restored, art deco gem on Hailey's Main Street — a beloved community venue hosting concerts, films, comedy, speakers, theater, and more, just 12 miles south of Sun Valley. We are seeking a creative, strategic, and detail-oriented Marketing & Social Media Manager to join our team.
This person will be the primary steward of our brand — responsible for growing our audience, driving ticket sales, amplifying our diverse lineup of events across digital channels, and securing the sponsorships and partnerships that help keep the Liberty thriving. This is a hands-on role that blends creative content creation with high-level marketing strategy. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable designing a compelling Instagram post as they are sitting down with a potential sponsor or analyzing campaign performance data.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Marketing Strategy
Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to grow audience, increase brand awareness, and drive ticket revenue
Maintain and evolve a cohesive brand identity across all channels and touchpoints
Analyze marketing performance metrics and use data to inform strategy
Collaborate with leadership to align marketing efforts with organizational goals and programming calendar
Social Media & Content
Own and manage our social media accounts: Instagram + Facebook for now
Post all upcoming and newly announced events to Instagram promptly upon receiving notification that an event has been added to the website
Create engaging, on-brand content including graphics, video, and copy for all platforms
Design and produce event marketing materials in a timely manner
Newsletter & Communications
Draft the weekly newsletter and submit a preview to Pete by EOD every Monday
Maintain and grow the email subscriber list
Write compelling copy that reflects our voice and drives audience engagement
Community Listings & Visibility
Add all events to local and regional listing platforms, including:
Mountain Express
Visit Sun Valley
Eye on SV
Identify and pursue additional visibility opportunities in the community
Create a process and team to make sure posters get up around town
Partnerships & Sponsorships
Identify, pitch, and cultivate sponsors and community partners for events and programs
Develop sponsorship packages and partnership proposals
Manage ongoing sponsor relationships and fulfill partnership deliverables
Ticket Sales & Revenue Growth
Develop and execute promotional campaigns to drive ticket sales and increase event attendance
Identify new revenue opportunities through marketing channels, partnerships, and audience development
Collaborate with leadership team on pricing, promotions, and package offerings
Qualifications
Required
2+ years of experience in marketing, social media management, or a related field
Demonstrated ability to create compelling visual content (Canva, Adobe, ect.)
Strong writing skills with experience in copywriting and brand voice
Experience managing social media accounts for an organization or brand
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Comfort working with tools such as Airtable, email marketing platforms
Preferred
Experience in arts, entertainment, or nonprofit marketing
Existing relationships within the Sun Valley or Wood River Valley community
Experience in sponsorship development or partnership sales
Familiarity with Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, or similar analytics tools
Photography or videography skills a plus
